- Subject: Millennium self-checkout users
One of our staff members is looking into using the new Millennium
self-checkout module in one of our branch libraries. We currently use the
telnet-based module so we are familiar somewhat with the functionality.
However, I'm under the impression that the interface using Millennium is
geared more toward a public or youth library setting, rather than academic
library patrons.
Can anyone elaborate on their experience with the module or, better yet, is
there anyone in the Mid-Atlantic region that wouldn't mind a visit so that
we could see it for ourselves.
