We just went through this. My colleagues had a problem with Chapter titles turning up in Title searches, so I did some checking, and found the answer thanks to Gary Harris of MOBIUS, which has some libraries that have Title searching and some that do not. It turns out that the controlling code can be seen in your Management Information, Bibliographic Index rules, but at least in our case, we could not change it ourselves. We put in a request through CSDirect, and it was fixed by the next morning.

Humor is too important a matter to be left in the hands of a bunch of clowns.
We have TOC records loaded into the 970 fields of the bib records in our
system. When you do a title search, in our Web OPAC, there is no way to
distinguish the chapter titles in the TOC data from the titles of the
books. This can be a problem when you are looking for a specific title of a
book, for example, and it is so generic that you get lots of results.
Does anyone know of a way to through wwwoptions or some other means to
distinguish the TOC book chapter titles from the book titles on the Web
OPAC browse screens. For example, if the TOC titles were highlighted in
green, then our reference folks would immediately be able to distinguish
them from the rest.
