I can't speak to the E-Reserves issue but another problem with 7.1 (and 
7.0) is viewing  the manual. When I moved up to 7.0 and tried to view the 
manual I got a java error and a blank left hand frame. Takuya at the help 
desk pointed me to the FAQ that explains this. You have to remove the 
Java(TM) Plug-in: Version 1.4.0_01 via the control panel. When I did this I 
could view the manual just fine in Netscape 7.0.

I upgraded to 7.1 and once again couldn't see the table of contents so 
again removed the Java 1.4. However, this time when I went back to check 
the manual Netscape automatically redirected me to the java web site to 
download a java plugin. It defaults to the 1.4 again but I navigated the 
site and was able to find the download for 1.3 at 
http://java.sun.com/j2se/downloads.html and it works fine now.
