- Subject: Re: Acquisitions List - Perl script question
Hi Grace,
I am running perl successfully on both Windows NT and Windows XP
workstations and use it to create new books lists by title, call number,
and fund code.
It appears to me that the file association is not set correctly. To
check, open the My Documents folder - from the menu select TOOLS - then
FOLDER OPTIONS and then the tab marked -- FILE TYPES. Scroll down the
list until you find the PL extension.
It should be associated with OPEN the PERL.EXE program.
Feel free to give me a call if this does not make sense.
Mike

Hello:
We had successfully set up and created new acquisition booklists
using the ACQ.PL script in Windows 98. We have moved up to Windows
XP. I've installed ActivePerl, but when I click on the script, it
only opens it in Notepad? Has anyone encountered this problem? Do I
need to run the Windows installer? The program notes for NT seem to
indicate that it doesn't need to be run, but I thought I'd ask here.
Thanks for your suggestions.
Sincerely,
