The University of La Verne's University Library is seeking an Assistant or 
Associate Professor, non-tenure track, twelve-month appointment, beginning 
approximately October, 2003. The successful candidate will serve as chair 
of the Department of Resource Services. Responsibilities will include 
supervision of the circulation department, resource (collection) 
development, interlibrary loan, and document delivery. The candidate will 
also participate in delivering reference service and library instruction. 
This position reports to the University Librarian. The position requires an 
ALA-accredited Master's degree in library science; a minimum of three years 
of professional library experience; experience with library automation, 
modes of information access and delivery; and a demonstrated ability to 
plan/implement/access projects including the implementation of 
collaborative change. Supervisory experience, familiarity with the Innopac 
Millennium, and experience with the use of OCLC Interlibrary loan is 
preferred. Annual salary is commensurate with experience, degree and 
departmental equity.
