Self check out usage problems

We are setting a high goal for shelf check out usage in our new Central
Library.  I realize there are many non Innopac elements that have a
significant impact such as fine blocks, expiration dates, address stops etc.
What would be helpful would be some ideas on Innopac specific issues.  The
most significant that I'm aware of is that many machines will not check out
an item that has a status other than "-".  So an item that gets reshelved
with a "t" transit status will not check out.  We are currently a 3M library
with the 6210 units however we are investigating other companies so I would
welcome responses from sites with non 3M units.  I promise to summarize any
non list replies given the projected interest in this topic so no need to
reply with the Please share.
