Mr. Kreymer,

As other posters have pointed out, there may be an easier way to do
this. What you need is to be able to run a telnet session in software
that has a robust macro capability, and (ideally) a macro recording
function. If you are an OCLC shop, OCLC passport will do the trick.
Unfortunately for us, CatME uses a different version of OCLC Macros
language, and doesn't have the same recording capacity. I don't know
anything about macros in RLIN.

The tag number and formatting for the command line field will depend on
whether your load table is set for OCLC or RLIN, and if its been set up
for item record creation. You may want to check your load table
(management info - info about the system -- codes used -- MARC load
tables).

Manual information is at #101512

Subject: item records upon loading

Question:
We have quite a number of bib records without attached item records.
I am trying to output these bib records to a local FTP server in order
to
then load them back so that item records would be created automatically
upon
loading. I've experimented with several 900 MARC fields and used
different
load profiles, but none produced the desired result.
Any suggestions?
Thank you very much,
