- Subject: server lifespan
I'm helping a colleague propose a new online library system and she asked me
what the lifespan of our server was. I told her our old Vax server is still
going strong after 9 years. Our new system is on a Compaq/Digital Alpha
server, but I have no ballpark idea of how long they generally last. Any
techies out there have an idea?
thank you,
Mark
