Shelf Reading/Inventory?

Good Morning,
    We recently acquired III, and we would like to know how other III
libraries are tracking the materials in their collections.

*	Are you still sending staff into the stacks to shelf-read the
collection?
*	Do you have any suggestions for utilizing III for increased
efficiency when inventorying the collection?

We are curious to see if there are libraries who are relying on the item
records in III for inventory, or if you are still sending staff to the
stacks to shelf-read to satisfy inventory control.

If you respond directly to me, I will summarize the responses for the list.
