You may not be able to get to the LC authorities via z39.50, but you can get
to them.  On your search engine (MSN, etc) search for: Library of Congress
authorities.  You will receive options; usually the first one in the list is
the one you want.  You will see the authority records and I believe there is
a link to the records that have used those authority records.
