EZ proxy and 856 Url

We have recently bought and installed Knovel electronic handbooks and we 
have them now accessible from our homepage throught our proxy, EZ.

We have also imported and loaded the marc records from Knovel for all these 
handbooks with the url visible from the 856 field.

Does anybody know how to add the proxy address to this URL so that the same 
rule applies for all users whether you access these books by the homepage 
or by the catalog record?

I have to insert, add   http://a.b.c  to  an 
URL  like  http://www.knovel.com.....   so the result will be

http://a.b.c./www.knovel.com......    this is just an example.


Is this possible by using global update or something similar?  Or some 
other idea, is this more easily done if you have WAM etc installed?
