RE: duplicate MARCs

Hi Jamen:
We are having a different problem: our opac is catching duplicate bib
records that are not in fact such. This seems to be controlled by a load
table setting, which we can't access. I had to call Innovative to change
that setting and it looks like it worked (we have not loaded a large file
since the change has been made).

Using Millennium 2002 Phase 2:

Problem: We loaded a batch of MARC records from one of our vendors for their
full-text periodicals. Since we have multiple databases from them, the
provided multiples files for each database. Unfortunately, many of the
titles cross-over from one database to the other. After loading three of
these files, we discovered that our system is not catching duplicates and
I'm not sure why. I have read how you can set it up for individual records
and how it can check certain fields, but what about batch loads? If you
have any ideas, I'd love to hear from you!
