WAM statistics question

I have a question for seasoned analysts of WAM statistics:

In the Forwarding Service Usage tables, are these "hits" only the ones
that require patron verification?

I'm using service levels so that users in our buildings don't need to
authenticate. But since the link uses the proxy, is it counting it? Our
stats seem awfully low if indeed this is the case.
