new system printer

Without my knowledge or input, my office just bought a new laser printer to replace
our system laser printer. There is nothing wrong with the old printer but that's
another story. Certain people here are under the impression that we can just plug
in any printer and it will work.
Can someone verify or correct these points before I go to my boss with this? I've
researched this in the archive and at CS Direct as much as I can:
1. III supports only a limited number of printer models.
2. Installing a new system printer, even as a replacement, is something we'll have
to call III for.
3. There is a charge associated with this.
4. This is going to change with Release 2003 so it may behoove us to leave this
thing in the box until then.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
