David.  You will find if you increase your memory to at least 256 you will
experience some improvement.  That is what we had to do.

We have had severe problems with slowness ever since we installed phase 2.
The MilCirc screens will hang sometimes for up to five minutes.  It is
especially bad when staff try to add a new patron or edit patron data.  But
it will also hang while scanning barcodes.

One contributing factor is the age of our PC's in Circulation.  We have
Pentium II machines running Windows 95 with only 64 MB of RAM.  We installed
a newer Windows 2000 PC at one of our desks and it performed a lot better.
Unfortunately we can't afford to replace all of our Circ PC's.
