RE: MilILL Records Getting Stuck

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
Oh the memories...we have felt your pain...
this was listed as a "known issue" for the Mill ILL module and advertised as
resolved with Release 2002 Phase 1. However, we stopped experiencing the
problem only after installing Release 2002 Phase 2.

I know several other libraries were in the same soup with us back in
October-December 2002. The problem became large enough for Innovative to
place it under their "Headlines" section of CSDirect.

One "work-around" was to do acquire and receive using the telnet ILL
version.

Did any other libraries find that this problem faded with Rel 2002 Phase 2?

Subject: MilILL Records Getting Stuck

We've been having an issue ever since we started using Millenium ILL over a
month ago,
with records getting "stuck" during the process. In trying to "acquire" or
"receive" them, the
buttons end up getting grayed out, and we can't do anything with them. Since
there's no
record number associated with them, we can't "Free records in use." Our only
option is
to contact Triple I, and ask them to free the records, which is starting to
get to be a pain
in the behind, because this is constantly happening (at least once a week or
so). Has anyone
else run into this? Any sage words of wisdom to prevent it from happening,
or to fix it?
