The Tempe Public Library uses Epson TM-T88III thermal receipt printers,
which work very well with Millennium Circulation. Barcode Discount Warehouse
demonstrated them in the exhibit area at the 2002 IUG in Houston. At that
time the cost was about $300 each unit; they use standard thermal paper such
as NCR Thermal Paper Rolls for Thermal Point-of-Sale Printers, 3 1/8" x 230'
(80mm x 76.7m), about $2/roll at an office supply store but much less in
bulk quantities. We have 4 checkout stations, each doing about 900 checkouts
per day; a roll of paper generally lasts from 4 to 6 days.

We would like to implement a receipt printer at our law library and would
like to know which receipt printers are most affordable and work best. This
printer is for the Millennium Module.

Thank You,
Susana Vazquez
