We do not create item records at the time
of receipt due to these issues. We leave it up to our catalogers to create
the item records when they are cataloging each item.

Hello! This may be because, as III has informed us, Millenium
does not presently allow "partial receiving". It is possible to create
the item records for the number of copies received, but the Order Record does
not reflect/record that it is only a partial receipt because it does not
currently ask how many copies have been received. So, you can either
accept full receipt of the order which inputs an RDATE or you can leave the
RDATE blank until you have received all copies. Unfortunately, because
of this, I think there is no system control on the number of item records one
can add at the point of receiving. It is something the receiving person
will have to be responsible for. III has informed us that they hope to
address the problem with partial receiving of orders by the end of the year,
but have not committed to a schedule yet. Kind
regards!

>>> We have been experiencing some kind of a problem when using
Mil. Acq receive orders function.
We can receive the same order for as
many times as possible(thus creating many item records for the same copy)
without the system notifying us that we have already received the
order.
Can we configure the system to check if the order has not been
received before creating another item
record.
