Hello,
For the last few months, some of our patrons have had problems accessing our WebOPAC remotely. They can access the WebOPAC home page, but when they try to do a search in the catalog, they get a message "403 Forbidden." This happens at various times during the day and night and doesn't seem to be a question of number of licenses available. It only happens with certain patrons and these patrons do not use the same ISP provider or browser software. Other patrons have no problem with remote access. III has indicated that it might be a network problem or firewall problem. Our technology department has conducted tests and does not think that it is the network routing or the firewall. We have been unable to resolve the problem.
If any libraries have experienced a similar problem and might be able to share their solutions, we would appreciate it. Thanks very much.
