Hi Diane,
The Univ of Ballarat has been using Touch Screen monitors with Millennium Circulation since August 2002, and I would have a riot on my hands if tried to remove them from the staff.
We have Samsung 151S LCD monitors that have been converted to Capacitive touch units, using the 3M conversion kits. These units are on the front loans desk, while the returns area has an 'old' CRT touch screen monitor. One thing to remember if you are using a 'thin' monitor is to ensure that the base is weighted sufficiently so that when staff 'touch' the screen that the unit does not creep towards the other side of the desk throughout the day. 

now for a commercial, for those going to the IUG conference in San Jose I will be doing a presentation on Mill Circ and touch screens.

I'd like to ask if anyone is using the following with Millennium 
Circulation

1) Touch screens

2) Receipt printers 


If you are using either or both of these can you recommend any 
particular products and are they easy to set up with the system?
