- Subject: FTSMAIL notices as spam?
Dear All,
In the past couple of months I have received a growing number of patrons who
say they have not been receiving their email circulation notices for hold
pickups etc. These patrons have valid and current email addresses (rather
than the out-of-date accounts from hotmail et al., which is a separate
issue), and the email notices have not bounced.
I have come to the conclusion (but will investigate further) that the
problem lies in anti-spamming controls. My impression is that anti-spamming
software has become more widespread and that this is detecting our ftsmail
notices as spam.
I would be interested to know if other people have a similar problem, and,
if the problem is down to anti-spamming software blocking the notices, is
there a way round this.
