- Subject: Re: Identifying who requests materials in order records
Hi Joe,
In our order record we had a "s" added in the variable field
for "Selector". Since we have several
budgets, we key in the selector name differently depending which fund we
are going to charge. If we order the book with department fund, we
key in the last name of the requester in the "Selector
field". If the book is ordered from the general fund, we add
the department code in front of the selector in the "Selector
field": ps/Smith (psychology, professor Smith) to identify which
department purchased.
This comes in handy especially when I need to prepare reports for
accreditation.

Hello,
Does anyone have a means set up to identify who ordered a
particular title
within an order record? We're looking at tracking
which faculty members
request which titles and base certain statistics off
that. Using the note
field is one option, but makes generating lists and reports
difficult. Is
anyone else doing anything like this?
TIA,
