If you're planning to attend the IUG meeting in San Jose in just a few weeks and would like to contribute to the Conference Proceedings, now is the time to sign up to be a session recorder.

As a volunteer recorder you will be asked to attend a specific program and take notes. Within three weeks of the close of the conference you'll be asked to send a 1-2 page summary of the session you attended to the Proceedings Coordinator, Nancy Fleck (fleckn@xxxxxxxxxx). The proceedings will only be available online. You will be given credit in the Proceedings for your work, and you will also enjoy that warm feeling of knowing you've been actively involved!

Please check the full conference program at http://www.innopacusers.org/iug2003/program.pdf and respond to me via email (blackl@xxxxxxxxxx) by Monday, April 14, 2003 with the session or sessions you would like to record. List one or two alternates you would be willing to cover if your first choice is taken. Please list the session number and title (i.e., A2 How the IUG works for you) so I can positively identify which session you plan to record.

A summary list of programs by timeslot is also available on the IUG webpage. As folks volunteer to record specific sessions, their name will be added to the webpage for the session they'll be recording. That way you'll know which sessions have been taken.

Innovative staff-led sessions do not need recorders (presenters are identified on the preliminary program webpages, and highlighted in yellow on the summary list of programs). Also note that only one session of a repeated program needs to be recorded.

Please let me hear from you soon!
