This is in response to the question a few days ago about adaptive software
working with III products. I am visually-impaired and use Zoomtext Xtra
Level 2 software. It has speech capability but that does not work on the
MilCirc Java-based program. I can use it effectively on the text-based
system using TerraTerm Pro as my Telnet app. The screen magnification
aspect of Zoomtext does work with MilCirc. If the employee has some usable
vision he/she might want to look into a screen magnification program like
Zoomtext or Magic. It is true that Java is a challenge to adaptive
software. It works best with Microsoft applications and those that adhere
to Microsoft's Active Accessibility standards.
If anyone has questions about adaptive software feel free to e-mail me
privately.
