Thanks Karen.
We do have unlimited OPAC licenses but have just found out that our ISP only
allows us so much bandwidth, then 'caps' us - so packets are being dropped
when we reach our limit. So this could be another aspect of a problem. (It
would have been nice to have known this sooner.)

We've had a similar problem with this lately and perhaps a related one
where patrons tried to renew their items. No error messages occur (too
many renewals, this item cannot be renewed, etc.) but the date is not
changed. The patron calls the library and we renew their items with no
problems.
We are also experiencing a lot of problems with running out of licenses
for logins. I'm wondering if the number of licenses is being depleted
between the time the patron accesses their record and the time they make
their choices and press the "update" button.
Any thoughts from others who do not have the unlimited access available
on their system?
