Proxy rewrite and ISIbasic

We're having a problem connecting to ISI Basic indexes using proxy rewrite.
Authentication works fine, the user is allowed in, but then after selecting
which time period and indexes to search they are given a message that their
session has timed out.

Has anyone else encountered this problem with ISI Basic and found a
solution? ISI's tech support is clueless....
