We are successfully using Symbol Cyclone M2000s barcode scanners with
USB connections on various library workstations that are running under
WinXP.

Is anyone using USB barcode scanners? Do you have a model you like?

We use the Symbol LS 4000i scanner with the optional stand for both our
library circulation desk and our Media Center. It works well as it can
be left in the stand to scan videos and small things, but can be removed
to scan cameras and other equipment that we check out.
We purchased ours from Vernon Library Supplies, www.vernlib.com

We're talking about getting a barcode reader for our AV department to
use for their circulation, and my boss asked me to find out what is
currently suggested / recommended. I tried the III website, but if
that info is there, I couldn't find it.
Does anyone have any current info, or suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your help.
