You might want to look at my manual for PDA inventory at

http://libcat.uafortsmith.edu/screens/manbarc.html

We are using a Handspring Visor (the combination with a Symbol
barcode reader module seemed cheaper than a Palm) in addition to
our PT2000 (and is much cheaper than the Percon, as well as
lighter, no wand/pistol reader required).

Let me know if you have any questions.

Our library is about to purchase new handheld scanners for
inventory. =
We currently use Percon PT2000's, but are open for suggestions.
We've =
noticed our IT department using Palm style portable data units for =
inventory and were wondering if any other libraries use anything
similar
=
to this.
What we need is something that interfaces easily with a PC and is
also a
=
barcode scanner. Does anyone have any advice?
