- Subject: Re: problems with Millennium
I can think of a few different problems that would prevent connecting
with Millennium. I've seen DNS issues occasinally, exceeded allowed
ports, bad Millennium shortcut targets, missing or corrupted files...
What exactly happens when you attempt to connect?
If you are able to enter login and password and are told "Could not
connect to server", all your ports may be in use.
If your java window opens and almost immediately closes again, you may
have a situation where your pc can't find the server.
We had some DNS issues when we upgraded to Windows 2000. Some pcs
occasionally were using their alternate DNS server rather than the
preferred DNS, causing connection problems. We removed the alternate
DNS and it solved the problems.
