Hello -

Sorry for the late response to this one - I am reviewing old e-mail
and I just came across this question about "limiting" to more than
one material type in AVS. If you already got this information,
please excuse the duplication (but I didn't see it in the list
archives)...

To "limit" to more than one material type or language in Advanced
Keyword Searching, we use the AVS option to search against fixed-
length fields in the bib record. So, to search for titles that have the
word "dog" and are material type Video (DVD) or Video (VHS), here
at C/W MARS, we use the following Advanced Keyword Search
strategy:

dog and (mattype:mattypev or mattype:mattypeh)

For us, material type "v" = Video (DVD) and "h" = Video (VHS)

You can do the same thing with language codes (structure of
search is "lang:langchi").

Hope this info helps.
