We've recently installed a 3M 995 Scanner/Desensitizer at one of our
checkout stations, and we've noticed that when we use it with Milcirc to
check out items there is a noticeable time lag between scanning and
response. We'll slide an item through the scanner, and wait two or three
seconds before we get the "thunk" that indicates it's been desensitized and
we can proceed to the next item. Needless to say this is quite a bit
slower than we're used to with light pens. The 3M people thought it might
be due to the Millenium software. Anyone else have any experience with this?
