WAM implementation issue

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
Hi all,

Any advice on this issue would be appreciated.

We are in the process of implementing WAM using the proxy re-write
method. We were EZproxy users and moved to WAM for better integration
with the Library system. We are currently experiencing a problem in the
implementation as our University has a proxy server that requires all
traffic to go through it - even the WAM traffic. Our proxy service sees
our Innopac server and WAM as another client. The problem we are having
is that there does not appear to be a way of easily configuring WAM to
use a proxy.

In EZproxy the configuration file allows for a proxy to be specified
but at this stage WAM does not appear to easily do this. Innovative are
investigating how this may be done but I wondered if anyone else had
this experience and if there is a simple work-around. Connecting our
library server and WAM directly to the Internet and bypassing the
University proxy is not an option for us. Our proxy port is 3128,

Thanks,

Jane
