Sorry for posting my own update to my original listing, but I JUST
found a solution that might be of interest to the group.
My problem was with the equal sign in my proxy URL
"http://0-151.112.6.37.catalog.llu.edu/webspirs/start.ws?customer=medl"
I added an explicit port number to the URL and that little update fixed
my problems with Netscape 4.7x. My new URL is
"http://0-151.112.6.37.catalog.llu.edu:80/webspirs/start.ws?customer=medl"
