Luis --
I ran into this problem twice this morning when I upgraded to Phase 2. With both cases, a reinstall of the Millennium expansion program (from CSDirect) did the trick. In the one where the problem persisted, it turned out that the URL was typed incorrectly into the install screens so the program did not know where on earth to go!
One possible way to troubleshoot this is the use the web-browser interface and the Java Console. With the DOS box that opens with the application, it unfortunately closes very quickly upon not connecting that there is no way to find out what the problem was. To get to Millennium through the web-browser, follow these instructions (this works with Windows 2000).
1. Go to Control Panel and double-click on the Java Plugin icon. On the first tab (Basic), click on Show Java Console. On the second tab (Advanced), select the Java plugin 1.3.1_02. I am not sure about clearing the Jar Cache (in the appropriately labeled Cache tab), but that might also help this along.
Then open a web browser and enter http://<yourINNOPAC_IP_OR_DNS>:2000 (that is port 2000).
After you do this, you Java Console may not display, but it can be reached by double-clicking on the icon in the drawer in the lower-right of the screen. Unlike the DOS box, this normally hangs around even if you do not connect. Hopefully this will help.
After you get started, you may have to delete some of the old icons that point to 1.3 plugin. A large number of staff here have a daily applications folder. The upgrade of the plugin adds icons to the desktop and the start menu. However, if you have icons on the quick launch part of the menu or in a different folder, you might need to replace these with the correct new icons. That helps explain why the program wants to upgrade the file over and over again!

Hi Keven
I check my Limit Netork Acces table to Millenium, and it still open to
all.
I made test entering only my PC address, but the results were the same

Luis,
One thing to check, especially after a server upgrade, it that your IP
address is still in the Limit Network Access table section for Millennium.
The symptoms you describe sound like the client is trying to access the
server but is not being recognized and therefore is being denied access.

Subject: problems upgrading clients to 2002/2
Hi friends
I'm having troubles upgrading Millenium's client to 2002 phase 2 (after
server upgrade)
My PC is a Win2K, I'm logged as Administrator, I unstilladed the previous
client and the previus java, after that I installed the new client from
milup131.exe But the it doesn't work, when i click the Millenium icon, it
try for a couple of seconds and finish without any message.
I made tests installing previous client (mil130.exe) and over it installing
millup131.exe, and the results are the same.
The icon properties are ok:
"C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\Jre\1.3.1_02\bin\java.exe" -classpath .\;.
\iiirunner.jar iiirunner ip=custos.uandes.cl port=2000 workdir=c:
\Millennium
Does somebody know how to fix this?
Thank you
