I am curious if any institution's are rethinking their backup policies in
the light of the Patriot Act. It seems to me that the information backed
up in the bib temp files would include daily circulation data that could be
requested under the act. If this is true (and I'd appreciate it if anyone
could confirm my guess), then I would think that fewer backups would be
preferable to the 3 and 4 week cycles that some have described.
