This seems to be another common problem of innopac users. Such items can
only be viewed in telnet, using barcode or record number, however record
numbers are almost never known.
When there's a disappearing item, I go to
   D > Catalog DATABASE maintenance
       U > UPDATE existing records
           I > ITEM record
recall the item with barcode and then delete it. Catalogers enter the item
again. This is the only way I know to deal with disappearing items.

Subject: Disappearing Items

Hi, we've run into a rather bizarre problem: on rare occasions after
creating items for multi-volume sets, for some reason the created item will
not appear in the summary list that shows all the volumes attached to that
bib. The item record does indeed exist, and can be viewed, checked out,
etc., but doesn't show up in the summary list. Anyone else run into this?
And any easy fixes, or do I have to call Triple I to get it fixed?

Thanks,
Rebecca
