There are several good sources from which to gather Z39.50 server 
information.  The best is BookWhere's listing which lists information for 
over 1,000 Z39.50 servers at
http://www.webclarity.info/products/overview_registry.html
Yhis is free, but you have to register.

In addition, the Z39.50 maintenance page at the National Library
of Canada lists a couple of sources for Australian, European, etc. servers.
The maintenance page citing these sources is at:

(look for the Service Description section).
