If you have been following this issue, you know that all of the replies
so far have been concerned with finding some way around the problem
with Millenium--function key assignment, touch pads, ergonomic mice.
All these work-arounds are required because the browser/web page interface
(while fine for the home-user's occasional interactions on the internet)
is just not suited for repetitive work. It requires a lot more work (mouse
clicking and waiting) to get the same result than the character-based
interface
accessed through telnet. Perhaps the solution is to retain the
character-based
interface for technical work and reserve the web-based interface for public
use?

Subject: RE: Mousing

How about a touch pad, with or without a stylus. I have one on my laptop,
and it's MUCH easier on my wrists--you can just move a finger back and
forth, and even set it to "click" when you tap it gently.
All the best-
Elisheva

We are using Millennium Acquisitions. At least some of us are. The
mousing is exacerbating arthritic wrists so some staff have decided to stay
with the telnet version. Any suggestions? Would programmable keyboards
help and if so what kind?

Thank you.
