Also -- try inserting a backward slash \ before the "find ||" -- it's
possible that MilCat is not recognizing the pipe as a character and this
should remedy that.

Anybody who has a way out---any help is appreciated.
 
Our cataloger was doing her regular e-books upload. For some unknown reason
(perhaps a finger that lingered too long on a key) the regular 856 link
using a subfield such as "|uhttp://hostname...." was typed as
"||uhttp://hostname". [noticed the second pipe before uhttp]. We thought
this could easily be remedied by the global update in Milcat such as find
any occurence of "||uhttp...." and replace by "|uhttp:...." but milcat is
returning a report of no change when "previewed". 
 
Anything we are not doing right? Any ideas appreciated.
