- Subject: Cancellation of Holds
Can someone tell me please... If there is no "not wanted after" date placed
in a hold request, is there still a default period of time after which the
hold will cancel itself?
We are using Title Level Paging, placing only Title Level Holds, and using
the maximum amount of time (168 hours) before a page can be transferred from
branch to branch. Yet, we seem to have holds disappearing that should not
be.
When there are available items in the system and a Title Level Hold is
placed, the option is presented to do one of the following:
Do Not Page
Page for All Locations
Page for Title, Selected Locations
We have been choosing Page for All Locations. Can anyone tell me what
happens if we choose Do Not Page?
