Duplicating fields from patron records

Dear colleagues,

I'm wondering on how to duplicate variable length fields from patron records. I mean, I'd like to process records from a review file, read from them the address field and copy its value onto a newly created, non existent, address2 field. Is it possible by means of our usual tools (telnet management session, milcat client) or must I process the review file with PERL scripts on local PC and then load it inside Innopac (telnet 'Load MARC PATRON records from tape or FTS' option)?

Any ideas would be welcome.
