- Subject: dummy items on full-text periodicals bibs
We have about 2500 bibs for full-text periodicals which we want
to display in the catalog.
Because we still use the text interface for our in-house catalog
users, we want to attach a dummy item to each of these bibs
--location "Electronic Resource" and Call # "Available on the
Web" so that the inhouse users will know what it is they are
seeing.
We cannot find any way to attach an item to a whole list of bibs
other than one-by-one. The help desk says yes, it must be done
one bib at a time. No way to tell the system, "do this to all
the bibs in this list." Nor can they see why we might find that
answer un-helpful.
We would appreciate suggestions for how to accomplish this
without 2500 separate manual acts of attachment.
I did try the archive. Perhaps I asked for the wrong thing, but
I couldn't find any helpful hints.
Thank you.
