- Subject: Question for RLIN libraries
Hi folks,
Is anyone out there using an RLIN local data field to load a code into
the IMESSAGE field of the item record? I've read the manual and tried
various things, to no avail. My LDC field normally looks like this:
LDC |i35066003784891|nn|lforef
where |i loads in the barcode, |n loads the ICode2, and |l loads the
location. The manual indicates that the designation for the IMESSAGE
field is "im," but when I append |imf, "mf" loads (of course) in the
barcode field, instead of loading an "f" in the IMESSAGE field. Can
somebody straighten me out?
Thanks!--Judy
