Looking for example "Reset scope to initial value"

We are working on the setup of our newly purchased scopes and are looking at
how other libraries have set up their scopes.  Does anyone know of a library
where, if a user performs a new search while currently in a scope, the
system resets the scope to the initial value?  I've found several examples
of scopes whereby the user remains in the scope after performing a search,
but none where the user is sent back to the initial value.
