Bound Periodicals-Sorting by time period

Hi Everybody:

Six years ago our library decided to barcode all of the bound periodicals.
We do not check them out but they are scanned for inhouse use.  We are now
trying to get statistics on how many have never been used or how many have
been used more than once within a particular time period. My problem is
trying to figure out how to enter a time period into the equation since they
are not checked out.

Can anyone tell me how to get usage within a certain time period for bound
periodicals, like "usage for the last two years" or really any specific time
period.  I'm just trying to avoid printing usage statistics that will
include all 6 years.  Thanks for your help.
