- Subject: Millennium and Anti-Virus Software
I'm looking for
input with regard to what anti-virus software everyone is running with
Millennium. I am testing Norton on my own PC with thoughts of purchasing
the enterprise edition, but am having a bit of difficulty. I think the
anti-virus software is causing the problem, but one can never be sure as
Millennium is a pain to say the least.
At any rate, I have
installed a trial version of Norton on Windows 2000. Millennium ran fine
until I powered off my PC. When I turned the PC back on, Millennium would
not run. The java begins to run, then goes away. I never get a logon
window. Shutting off Norton did not help. If I uninstall Millennium
including the JRE Update, then reinstall it, Millennium works again...
Until I shut the PC off.
Does anyone know if
there are files that need to be excluded from an anti-virus scan for
Millennium? Is anyone else having a problem with anti-virus software and
Millennium?
Thanks!
Tyra
