RE: email notification

I run into problems sending to hotmail at times. I have seen similar results where it
will get to a hotmail address and hang. Can you see if this might be happening? I
can't remember, but looking at the process list or restart in full mode may display
sendmail hanging on a hotmail address.

Subject: email notification

We have been using email notification for several years and suddenly we have a problem. Hundreds of notices are typically sent in a matter of a few seconds, but in the past few days the system has ground to a halt. In a batch of fifty or sixty overdue notices, the system will begin sending and suddenly stall at #5 or #10. It then begins sending in fits, starting and stopping, with minutes passing between starts. On the first day this happened, 250 messages took several hours. Since then, I have converted email to print notices (at considerable expense).

Innovative assures me the process is running normally on the Innopac box. My City network people say no changes have been instituted that would account for this. We are continuing to investigate, running debug logs, etc., but I was hoping someone out there has a similar experience -- and a solution.
