We are now using the Datatel number as the primary ID number, but when
students don't know their Datatel ID number and are calling long distance
etc we can still use the SSN (which they do know) as a match. When and if
the College says we have to delete the SSN from patron records entirely, we
can do so easily since the SSNs are in a separate field.
Please contact me if you need more info.
