Subject: Exporting MARC files

We are going to be migrating from Innovative to another library system, and
need to export our data. We use the character-based interface. I have been
looking at the Read/Write MARC records functions, and was hoping someone
could help me interpret. I was using the function "Output MARC records to
another system using IFTS". Then I was using record number ranges to create
MARC files for various record types. Here are some questions:

1. When creating a file of BIB records, the attached items are placed in
repeating 945 fields. This is what we want, however, I noticed the only
subfields in the 945 fields are the location code and the volume field. Is
there a way to put the barcode number in the 945 as well? We will want the
barcodes in our new system.
<<<<<<<<<<<You have to contact Innovative to modify the export table and
include that field and any other you need from the item record>>>>>>>>>

2. I tried exporting our customer records, but when I view the MARC file,
there only appear to be fixed fields there. I don't see customer names,
addresses, phone numbers nor any other information from the variable fields.
The same thing seems to occur when exporting authority records. Is there
some setting I can change to export the variable fields?
<<<<<<<<<Again you have to coctact Innovative for the authority records.
For the patrons maybe you could export the data you need by creating a
review file and then export in a coma separated file. Probably you can
import that information to the new system that way>>>>>>

3. Do you know whether the serials checkin records export to MARC holdings
format?
<<<<<<Yes, but you have to contact Innovative to do the export table for
checkin>>>>>>>

Thank you for any help you can provide!
