in-house use statistics

We are collecting statistics for our journals.  But when we do the
in-house use statistics in item records with data transferred from
portable reader we get error message's), (not all the time). Like today
from 800 records, I just got 2 error messages.

The problem is that we get barcode with period at the end like
39352054953294. and we think this is the III problem.

Any solutions?
